Protection & Comfort

2 Samuel 22:07,18

When I was in trouble I called out to the Lord. I called out to my God.  From his temple he heard my voice. My cry for help reached his ears. He saved me from my powerful enemies. He set me free from those who were too strong for me.

Biblical Truth: Take comfort in knowing that we can turn to the Father in prayer, for He is able to tear down the strongholds of fear and be our shield. He hears our prayers, we can depend on it.

Biblical Truth: When we relinquish control and rely on God we are strengthened and become more confident. With God as our protector we are able to rebuke fear.

Joshua 01:05-06

Biblical Truth: We take comfort knowing that the same grace that was sufficient for those that went before us is bestowed upon us. Fear is no match for those that have God on their side.

Deuteronomy 33:26-27

There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, ‘Destroy him!’

2 Thessalonians 03:02-03

Pray that we may be kept safe from worthless and evil people. After all, not everyone has faith. But the Lord can be trusted to make you strong and protect you from harm.

We need not worry about what we have or don’t have, for as a Christian we have enough. It is through Christ we have grace to serve and give generously, and it is through Christ we receive grace.

Place your confidence in the Father who provides comfort. Be encouraged because He is aware of even the smallest details. We are valuable in His sight.
