Fear Not

Ezekiel 03:07-09

“But it won’t work that way with the family of Israel. They won’t listen to you because they won’t listen to me. They are, as I said, a hard case, hardened in their sin. But I’ll make you as hard in your way as they are in theirs. I’ll make your face as hard as rock, harder than granite. Don’t let them intimidate you. Don’t be afraid of them, even though they’re a bunch of rebels.”

When we follow and serve God we are assured of His favor, and need not worry or fear the arrogance of others. Speak firmly without fear to those requiring correction.

Ezekiel 02:06-07

And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words; though briers and thorns are all around you and you dwell and sit among scorpions, be not afraid of their words nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house. And you shall speak My words to them whether they will hear or refuse to hear, for they are most rebellious.

Do not be afraid to speak the truth, or be put off by the words of those that would hinder you. In uncompromising service to God, speak and act boldly with assured protection from above.

Lamentations 03:55-58

I called on your name, O LORD, from the depths of the pit. You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears to my cry for relief.” You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.” O Lord, you took up my case; you redeemed my life.

By faith we can always count on Gods ear and grace to quiet our fear.

Jeremiah 51:45-46

Come out of there, my people! Run for your lives! Run away from my burning anger. You will hear about terrible things that are happening in Babylonia. But do not lose hope. Do not be afraid. You will hear one thing this year. And you will hear something else next year. You will hear about awful things in the land. You will hear about one ruler fighting against another.

Do not let fear and temptation, or the threat of it, be a burden to you, flee from it. Put fear to rest through faith in God’s promises.

So don’t be afraid, even though now you deserve to be punished and have been scattered among other nations. But when I destroy them, I will protect you. I, the LORD, have spoken.

We trust in the faithfulness of God to protect us. We are at home in Him, for if God is with us who can be against us.

My people, do not be afraid, people of Israel, do not be terrified. I will rescue you from that faraway land, from the land where you are prisoners. You will come back home and live in peace; you will be secure, and no one will make you afraid.

God’s mercy carries us through difficulties. We put our hope in His promises and will not fear.

Jeremiah 42:11

Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

Do not be discouraged or afraid of obstacles you perceive as insurmountable, but abide in the safety of God’s promises that will deliver you.

Jeremiah 40:09

Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, took an oath to give hope to all of those men. He spoke in a kind way to them. He said, “Don’t be afraid to serve the Babylonians. Settle down in the land of Judah. Serve the king of Babylonia. Then things will go well with you.”

We will not be afraid of criticism or the stigma associated with our current circumstances, for God is with us, He is in control.

God knows our fears, when we trust in Him we have confidence in His promise of deliverance and have no need to fear any man.
