biblical truths on fear and worry

1 Samuel 09:19-20

1 Samuel 12:20

Samuel said to the people, “Do not fear. You have committed all this evil, yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart.”

1 Samuel 12:20 (NASB)

Biblical Truth: God did not choose us based on our good merits, had He done so we might fear He would abandon us for our bad merits. Though our evil choices displease Him, He will not abandon His covenant, so do not abandon your hope in His mercy. He is able to use all things for His good.
